Local Discount Codes is our members-only section, where we work with Bristol's best independent food businesses to get BFN Premium members money off. We're adding to it as more come on board.

The Orchard Lands At Fierce & Noble: The Orchard Coffee Co lost their St George home of ten years when the landlords took the building back to turn it into a church again, and they closed on 30th August. Now they're taking over Fierce & Noble on Mina Road in St Werburghs. It's becoming a brewery, a roastery and a bakery all at once, and a new name is on the way. "Same obsession with good coffee, great beer, proper pastries and bringing people together, but a new home, a new chapter and a new direction".

COR Named Bristol's Best: COR on North Street has been named Bristol's best restaurant at the British Restaurant Awards 2026, decided entirely on public votes. Mark and Karen Chapman opened the Bedminster restaurant in 2022 and it's held a Michelin Bib Gourmand every year since 2023. Sister venue Ragù followed in Wapping Wharf in 2025.

Spanish Tapas In Clifton Village: Acento Tapas has arrived at 10 King's Road, in the heart of Clifton Village. It's traditional tapas with a contemporary turn, built around Spanish regional cooking, with vegetarian and vegan options and a list of Spanish wines. They're open Tuesday to Saturday, 5.30pm to 11pm. Booking is recommended at weekends, though walk-ins are welcome if there's room.

£7 Cocktails Across The City (24th Sept - 27th Sept): Bristol Cocktail Weekend takes over the city from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th September. Your ticket gets swapped for a wristband and a festival guide at The Spirit of Bristol Hub, along with a complimentary sample, and then it's £7 signature cocktails and £6 mocktails at bars across Bristol. There are paired dishes and dining offers alongside, plus special events and live music. Dip in for one evening or do the whole long weekend.

Two Days Of Food Ideas (26th Sept - 27th Sept): FŌDA returns to the Arnolfini this Saturday and Sunday, built around the question "can we feed the UK?". Four panels cover land, sea, forest and air, with Guy Singh-Watson of Riverford, Philip Tanswell of Cornish Sea Salt and Franco-Palestinian chef Fadi Kattan among the speakers. Peter Sanchez-Iglesias is also talking for the first time since Casa and Paco Tapas closed, alongside Ynyshir's Gareth Ward. Sunday adds masterclasses, including offal butchery with HG Walter and a Palestinian wine tasting. Full programme at fodafestival.com.

Six Courses With Cocktails (27th Sept): Colonnade's new Signature Series Supper Club opens on Sunday 27th September at 6.30pm. It's six courses of Colonnade favourites reimagined for the one night, each paired with a cocktail. Places are limited and it's £65, but a Bristol Cocktail Weekend wristband takes £25 off.

Seafood Over Coals Returns (6th Oct): Noah's are running Seafood Over Coals again on Tuesday 6th October, out on their heated, covered terrace. Five courses of market fresh fish and shellfish over charcoal, from Orkney scallops to Cornish monkfish. It's £75 a head, arriving 5.45pm for sittings at 6pm and 8pm. Jura Wine And A Lot Of Comté (6th Oct): Cave at 286 Gloucester Road are opening a line-up of Jura bottles on Tuesday 6th October at 7pm, with plenty of Comté alongside. It's a chance to compare the wines and get properly stuck into one of France's most distinctive regions. Tickets are through the link in their bio.

Pastries At A Ceramics Workshop (18th Oct): Hilda Bakery are setting up at Finnerty Ceramics on Sunday 18th October, 10am to 1pm. Seasonal pastries and filter coffee from Triple Co Roast, with ceramics to buy while you're there. It's at 294 Church Road, BS5 8AH.

Queen Of Cups Cooks At BANK (22nd Oct): Trencherman's Suppers is a new series of one-off dinners pulling together restaurants and chefs from across the South West. The Bristol one is Thursday 22nd October at 6.30pm, with Ayesha Kalaji of Queen of Cups in Glastonbury joining the BANK team for a six-course menu they've built together. Tickets are £65, excluding service.
