New Openings & Recent Reviews
A perfect fish feast in Redland, Brislington's hidden taco gem, and exciting new openings from cheese to wine
One Fish Street: A massive new opening on Chandos Road in Redland. The team, originally from St Ives, have brought their fine-dining seafood experience to Bristol and it's already making waves. We've heard it described as "the closest meal I’ve had to perfection in a long time", with standout dishes including the whipped cod's roe and incredible hand-dived scallops. It's looking like a must-visit for any seafood lover.
Arditos Kitchen: If you're after some of Bristol's best Latin American street food, word is you need to get yourself down to Lost & Grounded Brewery in Brislington. Family-run Arditos Kitchen is serving up incredible tacos, arepas, and birria from their spot at the brewery. Paired with a cold pint straight from the source, it sounds like a perfect setup.
Limone: A new traditional Italian restaurant has opened on the ground floor of the old General Hospital on Lower Guinea Street. Owner Antzelo Markou is bringing classic dishes like pizza, pasta, lasagne, and risotto to the iconic site.
KASK²: The much-loved South Bristol wine bar, KASK, is officially opening its second site on Cheltenham Road this week. After a soft launch last Friday for those brave enough to face the wet paint, the grand opening is this Thursday, October 2nd.
The Granary's Sunday Feast (Sponsored) has been getting fantastic reviews as a great alternative to the traditional Sunday roast. It’s an indulgent, three-course 'serve yourself' buffet of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean-inspired platters. One recent guest raved, "Food was delicious, varied, plentiful and very reasonably priced...I'm a veggie and it's rare I get so many flavours on one plate." Last weekend’s fire-grilled meats included flat iron steak, lamb shawarma, and chicken thighs, served alongside seasonal vegetable dishes, sharing plates, and desserts. It's a generous celebration every Sunday from 1-5 pm for £34 per adult. Book your table here!

Local Highlight
Bravas (and their terrace!)
A Cotham Hill institution and one of the city's most beloved tapas spots, Bravas, needs our help. For five years, their outdoor terrace has been a vital part of the restaurant and the local community – a place where countless people have shared food, drinks, and good times.
Despite having recommended they build the terrace in the first place, the council has now refused their planning application and is threatening its removal. For Bravas, the terrace is not just an extra feature; its enclosure makes the business sustainable through the colder months. Without it, the future of the restaurant and at least eight jobs are at risk.
This is a critical moment for a brilliant local, independent business. If you’ve ever enjoyed a meal there, please take two minutes to show your support by adding a positive comment to their planning application. Let's help them save their terrace.
You can find their planning application here. (Make sure to set your stance as “Support”!)

Dongnae Represents Bristol in Landmark London Collaboration: Last Wednesday, the 24th of September, saw Bristol's own Dongnae take over the kitchens at the acclaimed Quo Vadis restaurant in Soho for a special guest dinner.
