Moltobuono Lands In Clifton Village: The Park Street trattoria has taken on the old Fishers site at 35 Princess Victoria Street, and it's open. It's family run, on Park Street since 2018, and built on the family's Sardinian heritage with ingredients brought over from Sardinia and Italy. The draw is Neapolitan style pizza and fresh pasta, with Sardinian gnocchi and a tiramisu people rave about alongside. The Clifton room seats 72 after a full refurb, with new signage and a canopy out front. If you've ever given up on the queue outside the Park Street site, this is your second chance.

A Brazilian Grill On The Paco Tapas Site: Domus is coming to Lower Guinea Street in Redcliffe, taking the site Paco Tapas held until it closed in 2025. It's a churrascaria, so expect flame grilled meats in the Brazilian churrasco style, with the team promising premium cuts and "fire, flavour and unforgettable hospitality". No opening date has been announced yet. Losing a Michelin starred tapas room stung, so it's good to see something ambitious taking the keys.

Brother Thai Finds Its Bristol Home: Brother Thai are open permanently at 104 Stokes Croft. They traded at Bristol Harbourside for years, right up to Covid, then focused on Cardiff and family before finding the right room over here. The menu is their Thai rotis, rice bowls, small plates and cocktails. It's their second restaurant after Whitchurch Road in Cardiff, and by their own account Cardiff made them and Bristol is helping them grow. Bookings are through the link in their bio.

KASK Makes The Telegraph: KASK's Bedminster wine bar has been written up in the Telegraph, which called it a terrific little wine bar. They keep more than 100 bottles in the cellar, so the wines by the glass, some of them on tap, change every week. There's over a page of English wine on the list too, from Somerset, Sussex and Leicestershire. Not bad for a bar whose whole line is "say no to shit wine".

(Ad) eat:Bedminster Food & Drink Festival (6th Sept): eat:Festivals are back on East Street, and for the first time they're doing it on a Sunday. Over 100 local makers will be trading from 10am, with stalls running the length of East Street and round into Lombard Street. It's roughly 90% farmers market and 10% street food, so breakfast, brunch and lunch are all sorted. Dean Street gets a full takeover from the Latin Market, so there's plenty to graze on down there too. Entry is free and it's dog friendly. Round up your mates and make a day of it!

Three Days Of Chicken Wings (4th Sept - 6th Sept): Bristol Wing Fest is back at The Prospect Building on Feeder Road, and the full map and final line-up are out. Gurt Wings, Kiki's Fried Chicken, Mollis, Chicken Ting, Django's Smokehouse and Burger Bus are all in, alongside live entertainment and eating challenges. Tickets are through the link in their bio and they're expecting to sell out. Wear something you don't mind getting sauce on.

Free Cupcakes On Gloucester Road (5th Sept): Boujon Bakery are turning six and marking it at 267 Gloucester Road from 2pm to 4pm. There's biscuit decorating and free cupcake cones, and you don't need to book for the biscuit decorating, just drop in. It's a small independent doing a small independent's kind of birthday, which is rather the point.

A One Off Grouse Dinner (8th Sept): Cave at 286 Gloucester Road are cooking a one off three course menu built around grouse and the first flavours of autumn. It's £60 a head, with Charlie in the kitchen and guest sommelier Rory Eaton, formerly head sommelier at two Michelin starred Ynyshir, pouring bottles by the glass they wouldn't usually open. Grouse season is short and there are only a few seats, so booking is essential. Link in their bio.

Bristol Coffee Festival Returns (12th Sept): The festival is back at Bristol Beacon, running 9.30am to 5.30pm, and tickets are live. Caring in Bristol return as official charity partner, so you can add a donation when you book, or visit their stand on the day to play for prizes. It's sponsored by Dalla Corte, Oddkin Coffee and Brewed By Hand. If you only do one coffee thing all year, this is usually the one.

Ten Years Of BOX-E And Lost & Grounded (23rd Sept): Both turn ten this year, so they're marking it together. It's five courses plus a snack on arrival, paired with six beers, at £65 a head all in. Sittings are 5.30pm and 8.30pm in the restaurant, and 7pm in the heated terrace tent. Booking is by email to [email protected]. Nearly a decade of these two working together, so they know what they're doing by now.

A Lebanese Feast At The Lido (30th Sept): Bristol Lido are welcoming guest chef Jad Youssef of the award winning Lebnani for a five course Lebanese feasting menu in the poolside restaurant. It's £75 a head paid on the day, 7pm arrival, with a welcome drink included. It's tied to Jad's newly published cookbook, and Heron Books will be there on the night with signed copies.
