New Openings & Recent Reviews
A Totterdown Wine Bar, Korean Street Food & Top Nods from The Telegraph
Carouse: A new neighbourhood wine bar has just opened its doors on Oxford Street, Totterdown. Taking over the old Little Kitchen Cookery School site, owner Faye Buckle is aiming for an "easy and unpretentious" spot where locals can grab a glass of natural, organic or conventional wine alongside a small menu of well-sourced cheese and meats. A welcome addition to the area.
The Granary: Big congratulations are in order for the team at The Granary, who were featured in The Telegraph's 'The 22 best restaurants in Bristol' article this week. With a new head chef at the helm and a new dinner menu just launched, it's a massive and well-deserved bit of recognition.
KASK2: The wait is almost over! KASK, the team behind Bedminster's "Say No To Shit Wine" motto, have just announced the opening details for their second site. KASK2 will officially open on Thursday, 2nd October, at 243 Cheltenham Road, just past the arches.
Hunger Chef: Street food fans, take note. Bristol's very first Iranian food truck has officially launched. Hunger Chef is set to bring authentic Persian and Iranian homemade dishes to the city.
Bunsik: The viral Korean street food spot, famous for its corn dogs, has opened at Cabot Circus. The queues have been massive all week, proving Bristol is more than ready for this one.
Flat Iron: The popular London-based steakhouse has officially confirmed it is coming to Bristol. Set to open on Clare Street this December, it will be the chain's first venture into the South West.

Cocktail Week, An Epic Burger Collab & a New Sunday Feast
Bristol Cocktail Weekend: It all kicks off this Thursday, 25th September. Running until Sunday, this brilliant city-wide event sees over 30 of Bristol's best bars serving up exclusive cocktails for just £6 a pop. You'll need to grab a festival wristband to get involved.
Oowee Diner x Wilsons: A quick reminder that this Sunday, 28th September, is the big one. Jan from the Michelin-starred Wilsons will be at Oowee's North Street diner for one day only, serving just 40 exclusive burgers. This is a fusion of two Bristol legends you won't want to miss.
The Granary's Sunday Feast (Sponsored): Ditch the usual carvery for The Granary’s newly launched Sunday Feast. Dive into an indulgent three-course, ‘serve yourself’ spread of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean-inspired platters. From stone-baked flatbreads to perfectly fire grilled meats, fish and vegetables, alongside sharing plates and tempting desserts. A generous celebration every Sunday from 1-5pm. £34 per adult. Find out more and book your spot!
Caper and Cure Vegetarian Tasting Menu: On Thursday 9th October, the Stokes Croft restaurant is hosting a special six-course vegetarian tasting menu. It's part of their monthly series and promises a proper creative, plant-based experience. An optional wine flight is also available.
Local Highlight
Wilsons Bread Shop
Many of us know and love Wilsons, the Michelin-starred restaurant in Redland that champions sustainability and hyper-local ingredients like few others. But what you might not know is that right next door, the team runs a small, unassuming bread shop that is every bit as special as the main restaurant. Following the devastating loss of their head baker and friend, Ben Martin, the shop is currently running on reduced hours, making every opening a chance to support this incredible team.
Open from 9am to 3pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, the shop is the perfect weekend stop. You'll find their exceptional house-made bread, cakes, and pastries, alongside some of the best sandwiches in the city. The real star, though, might be their in-house koji-cured bacon served in a Hokkaido milk bun. Grabbing one of those and a coffee is a true Bristol rite of passage.

Panunzio's Kitchen Gelati Italiani: A massive shout-out to the team at Panunzio's on Cotham Hill, who have just won the award for the best dessert shop in the southwest for the second year running. A fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved.
That’s it for this week.
