The Granary
We make no secret of the fact that The Granary is one of our favourite spots in the city, so we’re thrilled to highlight their new lunch menu - it is arguably the best value dining you’ll find this month.

Resolutions don’t have to mean restraint. Starting January 13th, The Granary is launching a new weekday prix fixe lunch (available Tuesday to Friday) designed to be a proper winter warmer - leaning into bright flavours, fresh herbs, and good olive oil - a welcome antidote to post-holiday austerity.
Created by Head Chef Matt Nicholson, the menu champions local produce with Mediterranean and Persian influences. You can expect dishes like Mercimek Çorbası - a gently spiced red lentil and tomato soup finished with Turkish brown butter - and Lahmacun, a stone-baked flatbread topped with salt-marsh lamb, pomegranate, and sumac-infused onions. For dessert, there is Sütlaç, a slow-cooked cardamom rice pudding baked until golden.
It is exceptional value for a lunch on the harbourside: two courses for £10, or three for £15. You can even grab a glass of fizz for £6 if you're celebrating making it through the first half of January.
A Little Extra: Outside of this deal, if you sign up for ‘Granary Rewards’, you can also secure 25% off your bill throughout January.

Local Highlight
Little Bagel Co

Little Bagel Co. was started in July 2022 with the intention of bringing New York bagel culture to Bristol. Every bagel is hand-rolled, 18-hour fermented, malt-boiled, and freshly baked every day.
Located at 80 Queens Road on the Triangle, their mission is to provide quick, delicious, and high-quality food at reasonable prices. Inspired by US deli culture, they believe that quality shouldn't be exclusive to sit-down meals; even if you only have five minutes, you deserve an incredible bite. They use local ingredients to put a fresh spin on New York classics like Salmon Lox, Reubens, and BECs (Bacon, Egg, and Cheese), making everything from their sauerkraut to their cookies in-house. They even caught the attention of Marco Pierre White, who called them “the best bagel in the UK” in August 2025.
