Feast On Food Festival
Bristol’s much-loved food and drink festival returns this summer as Feast On heads back to Clifton Downs for its third year, running from Thursday 23rd to Sunday 26th July.

After two hugely successful editions and record-breaking attendance in 2025, the festival has firmly established itself as a must-attend moment in the city’s summer calendar, and year three promises to be bigger, bolder and more delicious than ever.
Celebrating Bristol’s thriving independent food scene, the four-day festival will bring together dozens of independent restaurants, traders and producers, alongside live music, cooking demonstrations and family-friendly experiences. New for 2026 is a dedicated cocktail bar, a refreshed trader lineup featuring both new openings and local favourites, an upgraded VIP area, and an expanded children’s zone packed with activities.
Returning favourites include open-fire cooking, sustainability talks, hands-on cooking classes for all ages, a vibrant produce market, communal banqueting, fairground rides and two stages of music - including the return of the BBQ DJ stage.
Festival Director James Haggart says: “Feast On has really become a fixture in Bristol, and we can’t wait to make this our best year yet.”
The weekend kicks off early with the return of the Opening Feast on Thursday 23rd July, setting the tone for four days of food, drink and celebration. Presale tickets from £8 are available to those who sign up in advance.
New Openings & Recent Reviews
Redland's "Little" Newcomer & Local Favourites
Little Loaf (Redland): Opening: Mid-Late Feb. We now have the details on the new spot at the old Elworthy site. Confirmed as "Little Loaf", this will be a more intimate affair than its siblings, seating just 18 people inside.
Unlike the other branches, there is no kitchen for brunch. Instead, the focus is purely on the counter - think filled focaccia, pastries, and their signature sourdough alongside pour-over coffee. They are currently restoring the original features of the former Victorian chemist and filling it with plants. Open daily 8am-4pm (10am on Sundays).
Wilson's Restaurant (Redland): If you haven't been to this Chandos Road staple, it should definitely be on your Bristol bucket list. It was recently spotlighted by BoS Finesse, who described the experience as "farm-to-table dining done right". Holding a Michelin Star, the ethos is hyper-seasonal - much of the veg is pulled from their own market garden just down the road and plated the same week. The £78 tasting menu delivers some of the most thoughtful cooking in the city right now.
Beijing Cooking Pot (Perry Road): A great spot by Janine (Bristol Food), who hails this restaurant near the BRI as serving "Bristol's best vegan food". It’s perfect for a cold January, serving up warming Szechuan cooking pots, mapo tofu, and generous portions of noodles. A solid option for a chill date night or catch-up with friends.
Upcoming Food Events
Valentine's Feasts, Supper Clubs & Festivals
Pizza and Arbor Beer Tasting (Feb 5th): Head over to BME Stores at Paintworks for a relaxed evening of pizza paired with distinctive ales from local legends Arbor. Runs from 6pm to 9pm.
Valentine’s Set Menu at The Canteen (Feb 11th - 14th): The Canteen is bringing back their popular Valentine's special. For £28 per person, you get four small plates, a "loverrrs dessert," and a cocktail. It runs from Wednesday to Saturday, but book fast as it sold out last year.
Valentine’s Day at Ahh Toots (Feb 14th): The cakery at the bottom of Christmas Steps is offering exclusive reserved seating for Valentine's. They have breakfast, lunch, and afternoon sittings available (£10-£25pp). It’s a set menu and reservations are first-come, first-served via email.
Chinese New Year at Rock Salt (Feb 17th): Celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse at this Cotham Hill favourite. They are hosting a traditional Lion Dance performance by the UoB troupe from 7pm alongside their usual menu staples. Bookings are advised.
The Godfather Supper Club (Feb 23rd): Dinnema Club is taking over Bruhaha Beer for a film-themed dinner. They are serving an Italian menu with a twist - think ‘nduja lasagna and cannoli - while celebrating the 1972 classic The Godfather.
Belmont Feast x Papadeli (Mar 5th): A collaboration worth travelling for. Belmont Estate in Wraxall is partnering with Papadeli for a shared feast using local produce, set within the working landscape of Watercress Farm.
Dongnae x Camille Collaborative Dinner (Mar 30th): A very exciting kitchen merger. Kyu Jeong and Duncan Robertson from Dongnae will join Elliot Hashtroudi at Camille for an "ode to offal" with a Korean touch. Expect dishes like blood sausage and mackerel jorim paired with Camille classics.
Bristol Wing Fest (Sep 4th - 6th): It might seem a way off, but this is big news. Wing Fest is back and moving to a new venue: The Prospect Building. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Jan 30th at 8:30am. If you want to secure a spot for wings, bourbon, and live music, set your alarm.
Local Highlight
Really Good Burgers

We love a burger joint that doesn't mess about. Operating out of The Colosseum in the Centre and The Greyhound in Fishponds - and available for delivery on Uber Eats and (new this week!) Deliveroo - the team at Really Good Burgers have quietly been smashing out some of the city's best comfort food. The ethos here is spot on: "no funny business", just serious ingredients. We're talking proper beef sourced from Clifton legends Ruby & White and a kitchen run by Head Chef Luca, who knows exactly how to put a patty together.
They have just dropped a monster of a seasonal special, Hell's Kitchen, and honestly? It looks absolutely filthy (in the best way possible). Picture a fried chicken thigh dusted in house spice mix, dipped in a sweet and spicy glaze, then piled high with jalapeno jam, parsley & habanero mayo, spring onions, gherkins, ranch, and their signature RGB cheese sauce. It is a heat-seeker’s dream.
If you aren't feeling the spice, their wider range of burgers is well worth getting stuck into. Whether you’re after a massive double beef stack, a classic crispy chicken thigh, or something loaded with overnight-cooked pulled brisket or blue cheese sauce, they’ve got all bases covered. Whether you're heading to the pub or ordering from the sofa, these guys are well worth a go.
That’s it for this week.
